Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit Numaus, join our waitlist, or use our services — and how we use and protect it.
1. Who we are
Numaus (“Numaus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools to help families manage logistics, paperwork, and coordination during early parenthood. This Privacy Policy applies to our website at numaus.app (and related pages), our waitlist, and any products or services we offer that link to this policy.
If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@numaus.app.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and may record how you found us (for example, which page or campaign you came from). If you contact us directly, we collect whatever you choose to send — such as your name, email, and message content.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and general location (city or region level). We may use cookies and similar technologies as described below.
Information you may provide when using Numaus (current or future products). If you use Numaus beyond the waitlist — for example, during a beta or after launch — you may provide information about your family, household, calendar, insurance, care providers, tasks you delegate to Numaus, and related documents or preferences. We will describe collection practices for those features in-product and may update this policy before they go live.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
- Manage the waitlist and communicate with you about Numaus;
- Onboard and support early-access and beta users when invited;
- Carry out tasks you request through Numaus (such as scheduling, paperwork, and coordination), when those features are available;
- Understand how our site and product are used so we can improve experience and reliability;
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
We may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to process information in order to provide Numaus's features. We do not use your information to train public models in a way that identifies you or your family without your consent, and we will describe any material changes to AI processing in updated notices.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or sell email addresses or family-related data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We do not use your waitlist email for unrelated marketing. If we email you, it will be about Numaus — for example, waitlist updates, invitations, or product news you can opt out of where required by law.
5. How we share information
We share information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business — such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, and security — may process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for our instructions.
- At your direction. When you ask Numaus to book care, file forms, or coordinate with third parties, we may share information necessary to complete that task (for example, with a provider or insurer), only as you authorize or as required for the service.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Numaus, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Numaus is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any material change in ownership or use of your personal information where required by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep our site working, remember preferences, and understand traffic patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality.
If we use analytics tools (for example, to measure page visits or waitlist conversions), we configure them to collect aggregated or pseudonymous data where possible. We will update this section if we add specific tools.
7. Data retention
We keep waitlist email addresses until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed for waitlist and launch communications, plus a reasonable period for record-keeping.
If you use Numaus after launch, we retain account and family-related data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion as described below.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit where appropriate and access controls for our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us.
To exercise your rights, email hello@numaus.app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us for details specific to your location.
10. Children
Numaus is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children under 13 on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website or waitlist.
When you use Numaus, you may provide information about your children (for example, for scheduling pediatric care). You are responsible for the information you choose to share, and you represent that you have the authority to provide it. We treat that information as part of your account and protect it under this policy.
11. International users
Numaus is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email to waitlist members or a notice on our site) where required by law.
Your continued use of Numaus after the effective date of an updated policy means you accept the revised policy, except where your consent is required by law.
